How to Submit an Abstract

The submission and review of abstracts for the 2024 ICTED will be managed through an online conference management system called “Indico” (www.sandbox.getindico.io). This system enables the author to upload an abstract and check its review status online.

To submit an abstract, please refer to the instructions given below:


  1. Set up your Indico CERN account

Go to https://sandbox.getindico.io. You will be redirected to a log in the Home page of Indico Sandbox. Click “Login” to create a CERN account.

You can choose to use your email or sign in with a social account (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook) in creating your account.

To create an account via your email, click on “Register” and fill out the needed information.

Type the CAPTCHA code provided and click “Register”.

You will receive a confirmation email. Click on the given link in the email to verify your account. 

After you have successfully set up your account, log in to the conference submission system using your registered Email and Password. You may use the link: https://sandbox.getindico.io


2. Submitting an abstract

Log in to the Indico website. Click on the Search Box and type in ICTED 2024 to access the submission platform.

Click “Submit new abstract” on the lower part of the page.

Enter the following information about your submission:

a) Title;

b) Abstract

– Should have 200-250 words for paper/poster/ themed panel/RTD submissions

– Should have 600 words for workshop submissions, inclusive of the procedure in conducting the workshop;

c) Keywords (at least 5);

d) Category

(paper session, workshop, poster presentation, themed panel / roundtable discussion)

In addition, upload a copy of your abstract in pdf format. Click “Submit”.

After completing your submission, you will be able to see your existing submission/s on the Indico conference page. 

For changing any information about your submission, click on the title of your abstract and then click on the “Pencil Icon”.
